…I’m a Manchester United fan…(so now, in one shot, I’ve prob’ly lost the 80%+ followers I had who follow Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, City and diverse other football clubs)… those who are similarly minded to support the Reds would say that reason alone is enuff to justify my sojourn in that great northern metropolis… but nay, my journey there was of different purpose… firstly, it’s the transit point for my ongoing travels toward Glasgow, and ultimately to the Island of Mull… of both of which, more later… secondly, to meet with fellow scribblers and others who regularly spend time in the virtual ether with me per Facebook, Twitter, Bloggery, et al… the City Centre Holiday Inn had arranged the usual high-level security arrangements to hold back the expected legions of fans… the triple-coded special passes permitted the entry of the chosen few, namely Sally and Stephen Cunliffe, Paul, April Taylor, and Sandra Robinson…and one other skulking skulker skulked skillfully through the barriers to join us… the amazing Glen Stansfield, clad in magnificent leathery leathers, having driven by motor bike over 200 miles from Banbury to be with us in Manchester… and he lives only a few kilometres from me in Bahrain!… go figure… writers ARE mad… the magical chemistry that binds the authorial family played its role during a morning schedule that was supposed to end at midday, but extended out closer to two o’clock… sharing and chatting, plain blethering, is a superb way to pass several hours… and I didn’t even wander away to Old Trafford to see my ‘other’ team…. thanks to all who made the time and effort to come and be part of a great morning for this ol’ Jurassic writer… see yeez later… LUV YEEZ! …

What a fantastic word Bloggery (duly nicked) 😀 and so sorry that due to my secret missions not allowing me to show my face on the security pass I was unable to be there with you Seumas.
A little bird told me that Glen S had traveled thousands of miles from Bahrain to escape from you, but such is fete you turned up at the same hotel at the same time, and despite his best endeavours to sneak past, you turned at the wrong moment and he was duly espied. 😉 Fact is surely stranger than fiction.
Enjoy the rest of your tour to wee Bonny land, my friend, and catch up when you return to the world of the cyber. x
